Passage: Exodus 20:13
The sixth commandment is an easy one to gloss over. We think, “I’ve certainly never murdered anyone, so I’m all good!” In fact, some of us are relieved because we finally get to put a check mark next to one of the commandments! Then we run smack into the teaching of Jesus in Matthew 5:21-26 that puts a whole new spin on the commandment. Maybe we need to slow down on that check mark just a little! This weekend as we continue our Ten Commandments series with a look at how God views those murderous thoughts and casual insults we blurt out when someone cuts us off on the road!
